Christmas is God's Love Manifested Toward Us
Please, do not let the true meaning of Christmas pass you by this year. Christmas is when God showed us His love for us by sending His only begotten Son to earth that we might have life. (I John 4:9,11) Therefore, Christmas should be all about love.
Since God loved us so much that He sent His Son for us, we should love God back with all of our heart, mind, and soul. There should be no question who we love the most. If it was not for the love of God for us, we would be lost in our sins and headed for hell. However, because of Christmas, we should be convinced that God loves us, and because of the Cross, we should be convinced that He loves us completely.
Since we are the recipients of God's great love in Christ, we should be the first ones to show great love to others. It is never enough to just say that we love God and to do things to show Him our love for Him. God loves everyone with a complete unselfish love, so we should love them in the same way with His agape love, which is in us.
Therefore, see why I say Christmas should be all about love? Don't leave out either aspect of love this Christmas. Remember to express your love for the Lord Jesus and your love for others. Then, you will experience the real wonder of Christmas.
