A Deceiver and an Antichrist
Anyone who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is a deceiver and an antichrist. (II John 7) I know that is a strong statement, but it is God's Word, and it is very true. All truth depends on the identity of Jesus Christ, because He claimed to be truth embodied. (John 14:6)
Some people think Jesus was a good man or a great teacher or a prophet, but they do not believe He was God incarnate. The problem is that He claimed to be God. (John 10:28-30; John 14:9; Colossians 2:9) Therefore, if He is not God, He is a liar, so He is not a good man. If His teachings were false in any way, He is not a great teacher or a prophet, either. Our only choice is that He was God, a lunatic, or a liar. That is why anyone who does not believe and confess that Jesus Christ is God incarnate is deceiving people and working against Christ.
This Christmas, please make sure that you celebrate the incarnation and let others know God came to be with us in the person of Jesus Christ. We need to point those who do not know Him in the right direction, and Christmas is a great opportunity to do just that.
Tomorrow, I intend to read III John and Jude.
