In Malice be Babes

Unfortunately, many believers have a lack of understanding of the things of God and the Word of God. If we were to give them a test, they would fail the test, unless it was very simple. However, when it comes to malice and anger, they are experts. They know all kinds of words and ways to express anger, and they are very good at hurting others with whom they are angry. Paul tells us that it ought to be the other way around. (I Corinthians 14:20) Consider his admonition for us all.

Our goal should be to be mature believers in all areas of understanding. This comes from time spent in the Word of God and in prayerful reflection on God and His ways. As we do this, we pray the same way Solomon prayed when he became king. We ask God for His wisdom and understanding to be able to conduct ourselves the right way and lead others in the right way, too.

Also, our goal should be to put away anger, wrath, and malice. We must repent of all types of expressions of anger and malice toward other people and groups. We must ask God to replace our anger with love, so that we are babes when it comes to malice. In other words, we do not know anything about malice. We are innocent of it.

When we reach these two goals, our lives will be so much less stressful and so much more fulfilling. We will accomplish much, while treating all people with love and respect. Sounds like Jesus to me.

Tomorrow, I intend to read I Corinthians 15-16 and II Corinthians 1.
