God's Blessings on Those Who Care for the Needy
Around the world there are multitudes of people who live in hunger. Some are even in our backyard. Afflicted people are all around us. There are a myriad of afflictions that overtake people in their lives. God cares for each of these people, and He promises to bless us, if we, as believers, will extend our soul to them and satisfy the afflicted. (Isaiah 58:10,11) He simply wants us to be His hands and feet to provide for their needs, and to bind up their wounds
When we show the compassion of God and we share the resources He has given us to meet needs, God will cause our lives to shine like the dawn. We will not live in darkness, because He will be near to us. He will guide us continually and satisfy our souls, even in times of drought. He will strengthen us, so that our bones are strong, and we are like a watered garden and a spring of water that never fails. Can you see how much God cares for people, and how much He will reward us when we show His care? God delights in blessing His children, when we live like Jesus would live, meeting needs of people all around us.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 59-62.
