This Is Your Time
God used Mordecai and Esther to save the Jews throughout the Persian Empire from destruction after the king was tricked into signing a decree against them. Esther was hesitant to approach the king, even though she was the queen, because of the rules of the king. However, her uncle encouraged her not to remain silent, because this might be the reason she had come to be the queen.(Esther 4:14) Most of us have heard the famous quote from this verse, "for such a time as this," but have we applied this truth to our lives?
Esther became queen of Persia by God's grace, and he used her to save His people. We were saved by God's grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has a purpose for us coming into the Kingdom at this time, just like He had a purpose for Queen Esther. It is your time to be a child of God, if you are a believer, and God has something for you to do, so people can be saved and come to be rescued from the destruction of sin. Are you going to remain silent, or will you seize the time you have to bring deliverance to as many as possible? That is the question for each child of God. We are saved for a purpose, and we must fulfill that purpose to be faithful to God.
