The Next Generation

Christianity is always one generation from extinction. That truth did not originate with me, but whomever first said it was very wise. We see what happened to Israel in the time of the Judges.(Judges 2:10) The same thing could be happening to us in America  right now.

I have heard that statistics show us only 4% of the people from 18-29 years old in the USA attend church. This new generation is the largest generation in American history, surpassing the Baby-Boomer generation. Therefore, we can say with confidence that less than 4% of the next generation are believers. What will America be like in 25 years, if we do not have another Great Awakening? It will be an even more secular country than it has become today.

We must do our part to reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Of course, we need to reach all ages for Christ, but if we lose an entire generation, soon America will be an unreached people group. Please, join me and believers all across our country as we pray and work to see a mighty movement of God which will draw America back to God. Ask God to raise up leaders like the ones God used in the time of the Judges to call people to the Lord. We must live out the everyday mission of God for each of us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Judges 4-7.
