He Left Nothing Undone
Most of us have a hard time doing everything we are supposed to do. Then, we wonder why things don't go as well as we would like. Could it be that God blesses complete obedience and finishing all of what He has for us to do?(Joshua 11:15) I believe that is a big part of seeing God's work done in our lives.
I do not mean that we have to be perfect for God to bless us. That is not it, at all. However, when God gives us directions and commands us to do things, He knows what we are capable of doing. He does not give us more than we can handle. Then, He waits to see if we will do it all, so that we are completely faithful to Him. If we are willing to leave nothing undone, like Joshua, we will see the mission He gave us accomplished like Joshua did.
The problem is that we think we can just do "enough." Well enough is not what God wants. He wants us to do all that He commands. Let's make up our minds to listen and to completely obey what God tells us. Then, let's see if it doesn't work out much better than before.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 12-14.
