Our Outlook on Life

What is your life? What is your reason for living? How you answer these questions will have a great impact on the quality of your life. Paul gave us his testimony about this in Philippians 1:21. I believe his outlook on life is what enabled him to accomplish God's will for him. I believe it will do the same thing for any of us, who would adopt the same outlook on life.

If Christ is your life, He will direct and influence all you to. He will guide you into everything you need to know and to do to have a great life of obedience to God. It will not be any trouble for you to pray, to read the Bible, or to serve Him in any way, because He is your life. However, if your life is your kids, your job, money, pleasure, recreation, or anything else, then, you will have a great conflict in doing God's will for you.

If dying is gain to you, there will be no fear of what people can do to you. There will be great freedom to pursue whatever God's will may be, because you know that even if it ends in death, you have something even better in heaven. There is no force on earth or in the spiritual realm that can deter a person who knows that death brings gain for them.

See what I mean? If we have the same testimony as Paul about our reason for living, we are on the road that leads to a wonderful life on earth and an even better life for eternity.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Philippians 3-4 and Colossians 1.
