Perfect Justice
Human beings are incapable of administering perfect justice. Only God can do that. Therefore, we need to trust Him to bring perfect justice in His time and in His way. When we trust Him in that way, it relieves the fear in our hearts, and it gives us strength for life in this world corrupted by sin.(Isaiah 35:4) Yes, we should strive for justice here, but not a justice from vengeance. We must leave the vengeance up to God, who is able to bring perfect justice.
If we have a heart that longs for perfect justice, we will want exactly the right thing to be done to be fair and to protect us and others from oppression. We will not want uneven justice. We will not want wrathful, vengeful justice. The recompense of God is that perfect justice. He will work it out here in this world or in the next, but we have the assurance that He will be completely fair to everyone.
We can't control anyone but ourselves. We should not want to control people, but to bring them to submit to the control of the Lord. Then, they can live in righteousness and justice in God's wisdom and power. We should be models for others to follow, and we should tell them about the perfect justice of God, because one day each person will stand before the Lord, and He will render His perfect justice to each soul.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 36-38.
