Worthy is the Lamb
On this Christmas morning we remember the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He came into the world as a helpless baby to take on flesh and blood, so He could give His life for us. When John saw Him around the throne of God in heaven, he saw a Lamb, a young sheep, so meek and defenseless. Jesus is the Lamb of God who was slain in our place, as the Perfect Sacrifice for the sins of the world. However, as a baby and as a Lamb, He is worthy of all of our praise and worship!(Revelation 5:11,12) The shepherds came that first Christmas night, and now, we come to bow before Him. What an honor to worship the Lamb. One day we will gather with the multitudes in heaven to proclaim His praises for eternity.
Today, we will receive a lot of love and presents from friends and family. It will be a wonderful time for most of us. However, we must not forget to give Jesus His presents. He is worthy to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing. Only the Father can bestow on Him the power, riches, wisdom, and strength. It is up to us and the angels to give Him honor, glory, and blessing. Let's make the commitment to do that on Christmas and every day of the year.
I pray that all of us will have a Merry Christmas, and Christ will be the center of all we do.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 6-8.
