Getting God's Attention

God has a lot of things to catch His attention. He created the entire universe with all of its beauty. He could spend His time basking in His glorious creation, but He doesn't. God focuses His attention on one thing.(Isaiah 66:2) Just think about that for a minute. God could look at anything, but He chooses to look on the humble, contrite person who trembles at His Word. Do you have God's attention? I hope you do.

So many people say they want God to hear their prayers. They want to enter His Presence and enjoy His close fellowship. The key is their hearts. God doesn't waste His time with people who have proud, hard hearts most of the time. The reason is that He gives each person in the world the choice of being humble or proud, of confessing sins or not, and of trembling at His Word or not. He is not going to go against what they choose. Therefore, any time they want to have God's attention, all they have to do is to get their heart right with Him. Anyone can do this at any time.

The only question is will we do the right things to have a heart that attracts God's attention.
