What Are You Able To Do?

Isaiah explained a very important truth in Isaiah 10:15. Most people have a distorted view of reality. They think they are able to live and do whatever they want without any help from God. They think they are independent beings. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

There would be no universe without the Lord creating it. We would not be able to have children without His design of human beings. We would not have life without His grace bringing us into this world. He sustains our health by His goodness, or we could not live another minute. Whatever we do, we can do because He gave us the intelligence and the energy to do it. We are totally dependent on Him. This is true for believers and unbelievers, alike.

Think about it. What can an ax or a saw do by themselves? What can a rod or a staff do on their own? They are only tools fashioned by an intelligent creator, and without a hand to wield them, they lay powerless. We are tools fashioned by an All-intelligent Creator. He breathed life into us, because He is Love. He shows His majesty by how He blesses us physically, emotionally, and spiritually to be able to accomplish things in life. All the while He is waiting for us to give Him the credit for all we do. Are you ready to admit that? I hope so.
