The Agenda

There are some people who have an agenda. They are trying to change what God has decreed, so they can do whatever they want to do and not feel guilty. God frowns on this agenda, because He knows it leads people in exactly the opposite direction from where they need to go in life. Therefore, He makes sure that they do not find happiness and fulfillment in their lives.(Isaiah 5:20)

When people try to turn good into evil and evil into good, God brings them woe. When people call darkness light and light darkness, God brings grief into their lives. When people put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, God causes their lives to be drab and sad. The word woe is powerful. Woe is what we feel at a funeral. Do you know that feeling? Someone has died. You are sad. You mourn their passing, and you know you will miss them.

Truth is a person, Jesus. When people have the agenda to change the truth, they are really going against Jesus Christ. When truth dies in their life, they experience the effects of that death personally. They haven't killed the truth or harmed Jesus. He is forever the Truth, and God's Word never changes. However, the truth dies in their lives, and it makes them miserable. That is why we are surrounded by miserable people today. They are experiencing the death of truth in their lives, because they have accepted this agenda.
