Decision Making
We make decisions all of the time. Some are more important than others, but they all have a role in determining our lives. Therefore, we must take our decision making seriously.
How do you make decisions? Are you one who makes fast decisions, or do you think and research before you decide? Each person is different, no doubt. However, one essential thing is left out of many decisions. The forgotten element in decision making is prayer.(Joshua 9:14)
It may be that we skip prayer for some decisions, because we do not think they are "spiritual" decisions. I hope you don't fall into that trap of the Devil. All of life is spiritual. We can't separate our lives and decisions into secular or personal and spiritual. For believers, Jesus is Lord of all, or He is not Lord at all.
When a decision needs to be made, do you want to do your own will or His will? If you want God's will, you need to ask Him to guide you, unless it is something which is specifically covered in the Bible. Then, when you hear from Him, you know what to decide. You can be sure you have made the right decision, no matter what your heart and mind tell you. I pray that we all will engage in prayerful decision making, so that the One who knows it all can guide us to the right conclusion.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 11-13.
March 1 – Revelation 2:1-7
Ask God to revive our church family, so that we would all love Him with that “first love” and serve Him out of love, not obligation.
