Bragging On Jesus
This evening I was privileged to attend the Men's Conference at Centennial Baptist Church in Rutledge, GA with Steve Connell and Joe Chapman. We had a great time in the Lord along with about 400 other men from 50 other churches. It is always fantastic to be in a group of men who want to hear from God and do His will.
We heard two messages. The first one was from Levi Skipper, the pastor of Concord Baptist Church. He spoke on Bragging on Jesus. In fact, he pointed out that we were saved to brag on Jesus, but our sins keep us from doing that. It was a challenging message, and several men came to know the Lord. Then, Dr. Emir Caner, the president of Truett McConnell University presented a message on "Generational Faith" from I Kings 18:20-23 and the story of Elijah at Mt Carmel with the prophets of Baal. His message was about our need to share the gospel with our families, neighbors and friends in a compassionate but confrontational way like Elijah. If we will do this, we will see the next generation come to Christ. I am looking forward to what God will say to me at the conference in the morning.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 21-24.
March 4 – John 5:17
Ask God to show you where He is working around you. Watch carefully as you go through your day, and when you see God working in the life of another person around you, join God in His work to help that person know and follow Him.
