Trying to Stop God

There are some things that very hard to stop. I know that they used to show Superman stopping a speeding locomotive, but that never happened. It was a fantasy. There are some people who are very hard to stop when they have their minds made up to do something. They are very determined, but they can be stopped. The only One who can't be stopped is God. Once He decides to do something, it will come to pass.

Isaiah made that very clear as he told the people what God was going to do to Babylon, Assyria, and their other enemies. (Isaiah 14:27) He asked two questions for all of us to ponder. "For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?" I think you can see his point. We might try to stop God, but there is no way to keep His purpose from being fulfilled.

After all, He is the "Lord of hosts." He is the Creator of all that is. He is the Commander in Chief of the hosts of angels in heaven. He has all power, and He is all wise. There is nothing He can't do except the wrong thing. Therefore, once God knows the right thing to do, no one can annul it. They can't bring any force to stop God.

Aren't you glad that when the hand of God is stretched out, no one can turn it back? God's hand is stretched out to all of us all the time, and no one, not Satan, his demons, or anyone on this earth can turn back the hand of God. We must not be deceived by the devil or anyone else to think that is possible. God is so good, and His purpose will be done in the right way and at the right time. You can count on it.
