God's Desire for Us

 Do you ever wonder what God thinks when He looks down on us? I think we need to stop and consider what things are very important to Him. That way we can decide to conform our hearts to what is important to Him. Then, He will see us and be pleased. He will bless us because of what He sees in us.

God has told us about this by what He told the children of Israel in the days of Moses. (Deuteronomy 5:29) God said, "Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and their children forever." That is what we need. We need such a heart.

I pray that we will have hearts that fear the Lord. We need to tune our hearts to respect the Lord and to fear what He will do if we disobey Him. That will lead us to wisdom and to be always obedient to all of His commandments. We must not be partially obedient because that is disobedience. 

If we will have hearts such as that, God will see it, and He will make sure that it is well with us and our children forever. What a goal for our lives! We can have no more worry or fear. As we fully set our hearts on the Lord, He will take care of us and our children, not just for a little while, but forever. That is God's desire for all of us, but we have to make sure our hearts are right with Him.
