The Lord Reigns

We have never had a king in the United States, but many countries of the world are still ruled by kings and queens. I suppose we could say that having a king is the simplest form of government possible. It is just one man or one woman taking charge and making all of the decisions for all of the people. In that case it is so very important to have a benevolent ruler who will make the right decisions for everyone.

That is how it is in our universe. There is one king who does what is best for all of the people. (Revelation 19:6) John was a witness of this fact when he heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, "Hallelujah, for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns." We all need to think about what John heard.

The word "Hallelujah" is the Hebrew word for Praise the Lord. God is our King, and He deserves all of the praise. He created everything, and He is in charge of everything.  He always does whatever He does well, so let's all give Him the praise He deserves. If we know Jesus, He is the Lord Our God. We belong to Him, and He is our personal Lord or king of our life.

God is almighty. He has all power and authority, so He can do whatever He desires to do. The wonderful thing is that He reigns out of His love and power. He always does what is best for everyone in the world, and He has all power to do it perfectly. Truly, God reigns as the Perfect King of All. Let's follow Him and tell all people about our King.
