What God Intended Men to Be

We have all kinds of debates today about what a man should be like. The views go from one extreme to the other, with some people even believing that a biological woman can become a man if that is what she wants.  None of these opinions change what God had in mind when He made the first man, Adam. We need to stick to God's intention.

The sons of Asher were examples of what all men should be like. (I Chronicles 7:40) These men were heads of the fathers' houses, choice men, valiant mighty men, and they were heads of the leaders. Just think of the power and influence of 26,000 men who lived as God designed men to live.

God intends for the husband to be the head of the house. He is not to be a tyrant, but he is to be the decision maker when the family is unable to agree. He is to be the leader in making sure the entire family lives as God desires. To do that well He must be a choice person, an exemplary man.

God also made men to be valiant and mighty men. Men are to protect their family members and to fight the wars for their countries. Then, when a man lives up to these things, he becomes a head of the leaders, a leader of leaders. God blesses men who diligently apply themselves to meet these godly goals.
