One Heart

It is very satisfying to achieve unity with another person or with a group of people. This doesn't happen very often today, since people are so polarized.  However, it can and does happen when believers come together in submission to God's will.  God loves to see unity among His children.

The people of Judah came to be unified under King Hezekiah when he led them to observe the Passover. (II Chronicles 30:12) The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord. Being one heart is complete unity.

Our heart is who we are as a person. It is what motivates us to do things and to say things. When we come to have one heart as a group, we are all thinking and saying and doing the same things. In this unity we can accomplish more of God's will.

This happens when God's hand is on us, because He wants us to be unified with Him and each other. Therefore,  when we know Christ and submit to Him, we will be one heart with other believers who do the same. God blesses us in a special way when we become one heart with other believers.
