God's Assurance to His People

It is hard to face life alone. In fact, I don't know how people who don't know the Lord make it through the ups and downs of life. When we enter a time of trial, we need someone to be with us, and not just anyone. We need the Almighty God of the universe with us. 

God gave this assurance to Israel through Moses, as they were about to enter the land of Canaan. (Deuteronomy 31:8) Moses  declared to the people that the Lord is One, who is going ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed. What a comfort for them and for us!

God watched over His people then, and He still watches over those who know the Lord Jesus today. He is One, Father, Son, and Spirit, the All-powerful Triune God. He is always going ahead of us to prepare the way for us. He is never taken by surprise, and He leads us in the right way, since He has already been where we are going.

God promises to be with us and to never desert us or abandon us, no matter what happens to us. He is there through thick and thin. He stands with us against all enemies, whether physical or spiritual. Because of God's assurance to us, we should never fear or be dismayed. We can live life with the confidence that we are not alone, and our God is the Perfect Companion for every situation.
