Satan's Accusations Against Us

 Life is hard enough all by itself. We do not need someone making false accusations against us on top of everything else. We have this happen when other people accuse us of things that we didn't do, but it also happens when Satan and his demons come against us. As believers, we need to know how to handle all of this. 

The prophet Zechariah saw this happen to Jeshua, the high priest. (Zechariah 3:2) The Lord said to Satan, "I reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire." We can learn a lot from this statement from God.

We, as believers, are like Jeshua in that we are in a spiritual battle that burns in this world. Satan and his demons are warring against God and His Kingdom. Satan is the accuser of the believers, and he especially does this when we are effective in serving the Lord. We must not be discouraged by this.

We must realize that God will reject the false accusations of our enemies. He has chosen us to be His children because we have trusted Christ as our Lord and Savior. Now, He is with us to rebuke Satan and to encourage us to remain faithful to Him in the midst of the fires of battle. God will do this for us, as we stay faithful to Him, no matter what Satan throws at us.
