How To Go Right On Rejoicing

Some people are prone to getting down and depressed. They let their problems and the way others treat them get them down. Then, they get stuck there, because they only think about the problems and what other people are saying. There is a sure fire way for believers to snap out of this condition and go right on rejoicing.

David applied this truth when people attacked him. (Psalm 109:26,28) David cried out to the Lord his God to save him because of His unfailing love. Once he did that, he could say just let them curse me if they like, but God will bless me. When they attack me, they will be disgraced, and I will go right on rejoicing. We can do the same thing.

Once we know the Lord, and we have that personal relationship with Him, we can ask Him to work in our life because of His unfailing love. God is always faithful to His children. He will give us deliverance from the attacks of others, as we look at Him not at others for our joy and peace.

Remember, we get our joy from God, not others. What matters is if we are right with God, and if we are, nothing anyone else does to us can rob us of that joy. Yes, God will defend us in His timing, and we can just go on rejoicing in the Lord every day. That is what God means for every believer to do all the time.
