Being Filled with Joy and Gladness

I believe that God wants each of us, as believers, to be filled with joy and gladness every day. This condition should not be dependent on our circumstances.  It should be the result of our relationship with Christ and the condition of our heart. Therefore, as we know the Lord and stay close to Him, His joy is abundant for us all the time.

David realized this condition was possible. (Psalm 70:4) His prayer was that all who search for the Lord may be filled with joy and gladness, and may those who love God's salvation repeatedly shout, "God is great!" Consider this and the amount of joy in your life right now.

God is with us once we come to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. However, it is up to us to focus on Him and search for Him each day with all our heart, soul, and mind. The more we seek Him the better we will know Him. The result will be the presence of His joy and gladness in our heart. 

As we love His salvation and love Christ, we will experience that close relationship with Him. We will see all of the blessings He pours out on us, instead of focusing on our problems. Then, we can continually praise Him by shouting for all to hear, "God is great!" Yes, God is great in saving us and in blessing us every day.
