Dedicated to God from Birth

 God knows all of us even before we are ever born. He creates us to accomplish His will. Yes, He wants everyone to put their trust in Him and become one of His children. He has a special plan for all of us. That is why parents should always dedicate their children to the Lord from birth. They must remember their children are only with them for a short time, but they are created to belong to God forever.

Samson was born at a time when the Philistines were tormenting the people of Israel because of their rebellion to God. However, God planned to use him to defeat the Philistines. (Judges 13:5) The angel of the Lord came to Samson's mother and told her she would become pregnant and have a son. She was not to allow His hair to be cut all of his life, because he would be dedicated as a Nazarite from birth. He would begin to rescue Israel from the Philistines. 

We should never be dissatisfied with our physical and mental characteristics. God made us to be like we are, and He made us good. We need to embrace who we were created to be and gladly do His will, so we can be used by God in our world. This would help all of us so much, instead of wanting to be someone else.

Parents, please keep all of this in mind. Give your children to God and dedicate them to His service from birth. Train them up in the way God has gifted them, and shoot them out as arrows to go straight to the purpose for which they were born. That is the greatest thing we can do as parents.
