A Job Well Done

Someone once said, "Anything worth doing is worth doing well." I believe that is true, and it goes for everything we do in our lives. After all, we are doing what we do as unto the Lord. He is watching, and He is taking notice of it, so He can speak to us about it in the Judgment time. Therefore, if we want to hear, "Well Done" from the Lord Jesus on that day, we need to be diligent about all we do. We have an excellent testimony about this when it came to building the tabernacle. (Exodus 38:22) Bezalel was a skilled craftsman. Uri was his father and Hur was his grandfather. They were from the tribe of Judah. The Bible records for us that Bezalel made everything the Lord commanded Moses, so that the tabernacle was exactly as God designed it to be. I can imagine that he and his family were famous for his work for many years in Israel, and he is still famous today because of this reference in God's Word.

What will we be known for when people look back on our life? I pray we will be known as faithful servants of the Lord. I pray we will be known as being "completely obedient" to all of his commands. Remember, partial obedience is disobedience. Even more than that, good intentions are not obedience, at all. We all have different skills and abilities. The Holy Spirit gives each believer the spiritual gifts He wants us to have. Then, we are to be good stewards of all of those gifts and abilities to do what God assigns for us to the best of our ability and with God's power to enable us. Each time we should make sure we do everything God has commanded us in His Word and to us personally. Then, we will hear, "Well Done" from Jesus.
