How to Overcome Satan
Many people are afraid of Satan. Most of them have good reason for their fear. He is a roaming around the earth like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He can and will devour every person who does not know the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. His purpose is only to steal, kill, and destroy, even though he lies and makes people think he wants to make them happy. Some people are even swept up in his deception so that they worship him and his forces of evil. They are his willing servants, but their future is destruction, too. This is why we all need to know exactly how to overcome Satan. John revealed the keys to us. (Revelation 12:11) During the time of the Tribulation, Satan and his demons will be cast out of heaven by Michael and the angels. He will be confined to the earth and fight against the believers until the end of the 7 years. The believers will overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and the fact that they do not love their lives even in the face of death. Let me expound on these a little.
When Jesus died on the cross, Satan thought he was killing Jesus, so that he would be in control. However, the opposite was true. Jesus was giving up His blood and His life for the sins of the world, so Satan could be defeated once and for all. When Jesus arose, He proclaimed His victory, and now any of us who trust Jesus as Lord and Savior has the blood of Jesus applied to our sins to cleanse them. We are adopted by God, and we belong to Him forever. This is our testimony. Not that we saved ourselves, but that we were saved by the grace of God when we put our faith in Jesus. Satan will still try to give us problems in any way he can. He will try to scare us into doing the wrong thing by making us face persecution and death. If we do not love our life, even in the face of death. Then, Satan's deception and manipulation will not work. We will not love this life, and we will remain faithful to Jesus all the way to the death. Then, Jesus will take us home to heaven, and we will have overcome Satan's attacks forever. So if we will do these three things, we can always overcome Satan, and we will have no reason to fear him in any way.
