No Father or Mother
I have met a few people who have told me that they did not have a father or a mother. Immediately, I felt sorry for them. I can't imagine not having both, much less one parent. It must be a very difficult thing for those people to process, when they see other families together. However, it doesn't have to be a bad situation for those children. They can still have loving families. This happens when some loving relative or other person takes them in, as their own child. That is what happened to Esther. (Esther 2:7) She was taken in by Mordecai, her older cousin, once her parents had died. She was a beautiful young lady, and God had a great plan for her life.
None of us get to choose our parents or our family situation. This might seem unfair, but there is one thing that overrules this being a disaster for those who find themselves in a difficult life. God has a wonderful plan for each of us. His plan is better than anything we would think of. Also, His grace is sufficient for us, no matter what happens to us. He can make a wonderful life out of the most terrible conditions. The key is for us to trust the Lord. First, we have to believe in God, as He reveals Himself to us. Then, we have to keep seeking Him, and He will make sure we learn of Jesus and true salvation. Once we are saved, His Spirit will guide us and empower us to do whatever we need to do. That is the abundant life, and that is His will for every one of us. He is a Loving Father for every one of us, especially for those who are without one or both of their parents.
