Opening the Floodgates of Heaven

I wonder how many of us could use more blessings in our lives? I am pretty sure that many of us would answer yes to that question. God does not want us to be lacking in our blessings from Him. In fact, He desires to open the floodgates of heaven for us and pour out a blessing for us that is without measure. (Malachi 3:10) Is that what you are experiencing now? If not, you need to hear just what Malachi told the people. I believe it still goes for us, as believers, today. Please, let me explain.

God doesn't open the floodgates of heaven to bless those who rob Him. That makes sense, doesn't it? However, many believers do not realize they are robbing God, when we may be doing just that. Everything we have belongs to God, and it comes from God. He expects us to be good managers of all of His resources and spend them the way He desires for them to be spent. When we do that, He will bless us abundantly, not necessarily financially, but in many ways that are even more important. We rob God by not giving Him our ten percent or tithe. He considers that part of our income His, and He wants to use it to meet all of the needs of His ministry, His house. Today, the local church is the seat of His ministry in this world. We are the body of Christ to do His work. Therefore, God is very pleased when we give our tithes to our church. He is so pleased that He will open the floodgates of heaven for us. I have experienced this blessing over the years, as have many of you. I pray that none of us are robbing God, but we are all receiving blessing without measure.
