The Guilt of Shedding Innocent Blood
We have heard so many stories lately about the states that have legalized very late term abortions, even killing babies after they are born. This is what the Bible calls "shedding innocent blood." God hates it, and He commands us to repent of it and to purge ourselves from the guilt of shedding innocent blood. (Deuteronomy 21:9) I believe this should be a priority for our elected officials, if they want the Lord to bless our country.
God has always made it a point to command us to uphold the sanctity of human life. If a person murders another person, that person is to be put to death to show the seriousness of his crime. Unfortunately, our country has multiple murders every day, and many of those who commit these murders are never executed. We have about a million abortions each year, and there is no penalty for this terrible act of killing the most innocent of all human beings. It is legal, which is appalling to God. No wonder our country is in such a turmoil. God is giving us over to our reprobate minds to do whatever we want, and we are suffering His judgment for this sin. Please, join me in praying for our country to have a great awakening, so that many will turn to the Lord and see His way for us to go as a nation. We need to see this before it is eternally too late for so many innocent lives.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 22-25.
