God's Secrets Revealed
God doesn't keep secrets; He tells them to His prophets, so that everyone can know what He is doing. (Amos 3:7) Just think about it. It would be counterproductive for God to keep Himself and His actions secret. In fact, it would be self-defeating for Him to make it hard to find out about Him and His ways. He wants everyone to come to Him and to know Him. He is not hiding things from us. He has informed the prophets who He called and sent to deliver His words to this world. That is why we need to listen to the prophets and base our lives on what they have revealed to us.
The prophets of God wrote the Bible under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Old Testament prophets wrote the Old Testament books, while the apostles in the New Testament times were the ones sent by God to deliver His message and to record it for all of us. That is where we got the 66 books of the Bible. It reveals the secrets of God to us, explaining everything we need to know about Him and His actions from the creation until the end of the world. God expects us to take advantage of that revelation, so we know Him and His ways. That way we can trust the Lord Jesus Christ, who was God come down to this earth, taking on human flesh to save us from our sins and give us eternal life.
If you have never read the Bible, I would challenge you to do just that. Read it in a modern translation, so that you can understand the language and the meaning. As you read, ask God's Spirit to illuminate the meaning to you. Then, trust God in everything He shows you. You will be amazed at what you find in the pages of the Bible and the change it will make in your life.
