Only One God
God declared to Isaiah the prophet, "I am God, and there is no other." In that day, like today, there were many gods that people worshiped. They come in all shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common. They are not God. They are simply idols which men have created or imagined. None of them is like God and able to do what He does. (Isaiah 46:9,10) I think this is easy to see if a person examines the One True God.
Our God is the Only One who declares the end from the beginning, because He is outside of time and space. That makes it possible for Him to see everything in all of history from the beginning to the end. He speaks about things that happened from ancient times and things which have not yet happened. That is what we call prophecy. They Bible has many of them that are verifiable. God is the Only God who can always affirm that His counsel will stand. No one will overrule it. He will always accomplish His purpose in this world, and in our lives. There is definitely no other god like our God. He is unique in His wisdom and power. He is the Only God!
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 48-50.
