God's Protection
So many people live in fear of what will happen to them. They can't sleep without all types of security because they are afraid of being attacked. Their minds are filled with anxiety about the bad things that could happen to them. God does not intend for His children to live like that. (Isaiah 43:2) He wants us to rely on Him to protect us as we live our lives in this dark world. If we do that, we can have peace of mind and sleep soundly.
What waters are you passing through in your life? What river seems like it will overwhelm you? Are you about to pass through the fires of life? If so, you can know that you will not be burned, and the flame will not consume you. God is the Lifeguard and Fireman for all of us. He can part the waters, or simply walk with us through them. He can quench the flames around us. All we must do is to trust Him. He is faithful.
We will still have troubles in this life, and one day, we will die. However, even when He allows the worst things to happen, He is with us to see us through. In death we can be assured that "to live is Chriat, and to die is gain." There is nothing to fear, when the Lord is with us. Let's all walk with Him in this confidence and put away all of the fear.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 44-47.
