God is Mindful of Us
David was overwhelmed by the thought that the Creator of the whole universe with the moon and the stars would be mindful of people, but God is very mindful of us, and He cares deeply for each of us.(Psalm 8:3,4) This tells us a little about mankind, but it says a lot about God. Let's consider it.
God is eternal, and He is in charge of sustaining all of His creation. He is never caught unaware of anything that happens in any corner of His creation. He knows every detail about the smallest atom and the largest solar systems. He made mankind above all of the rest of His creations in this universe, so He could have a relationship with us. We can't do some things that angels can do right now, but we can know Jesus and be saved from our sins, which is totally impossible for angels. They are His servants and His messengers, but we are His friends, when we know Christ. Yes, He is still very much above us, and He is our Lord. However, He is love, so His mind is always on us, and He is caring about our every need. That is the humility of God to stoop down to relate to His finite creatures in such a loving way. We should never take the goodness of God to care so much for us for granted, and we should thank Him for this every day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 9-11.
