Exult in the Lord
We do not use the word exult very often. I am not sure most people know what it means. It means to rejoice greatly, and to jump for joy because of someone or something. When was the last time you exulted in something? It might have been a football game or a good golf shot. Maybe, it was a huge surprise. However, when was the last time you exulted in the Lord? That is what He wants us to do all of the time, to glorify His name and to bring others to see how wonderful He is. (Psalm 5:11) You might ask, "What do I have to exult in the Lord about all of the time?" I will show us what this verse says, and you can see what you think then.
God is our Refuge. He is always there for us to run to Him during the storms and trials of life. When we do, He is there to protect us and to encourage us. Also, the Lord is with us, and He spreads His protection over us all of the time. Nothing gets to His children that He does not allow. Therefore, we know that with His help we can handle anything that comes our way. (I Corinthians 10:13) Now, those are two fantastic reasons to jump for joy over the Lord all the time. We are safe because He is there, and we are confident of His protection 24/7. That is something for which to rejoice greatly, and let others know how great is our God.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 6-8.
