Blessed for Complete Obedience

Partial obedience is disobedience. God does not bless disobedience, so He can't bless partial obedience. However, when we obey all that the Lord reveals to us, and we do it just as He told us to do it, then, He can and will bless us, as He blessed Israel from building all the parts for the tabernacle and its service. (Exodus 39:43) It was a very big job, and it could have been very tedious with all of the different details, but they did all of what God had said. Would we have been faithful like they were?

It is very easy to make excuses for not being completely obedient to the Lord. It could be that we are in a hurry, so we cut corners or put Him off, doing what He asked at a later time than He meant for us to do it. Sometimes, we think we know better than God, so we change what He asked us, and we do it our way. Other times, we simply ignore God or most of what He said, thinking we can get by with less and still receive His blessing. None of these ways of obeying God is full obedience, and therefore, God does not bless them. Why not just listen to God and do what He asks us to do in His timing? Isn't that much better. We do not have to be creative, but we need to fully obey, knowing He is All-wise and All-powerful to help us do whatever He asks. Then, we will receive the blessing of the Lord, which is what we all need.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 40 and Leviticus 1-2.
