Proving Jesus is the Christ
Saul had a remarkable conversion experience on the road to Damascus, but what happened after that is even more amazing to me. From the day he was saved, he began to preach in the synagogues to show the Jews that Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah sent from God to save us. (Acts 9:20,22) This was the natural thing for him to do after coming to know Christ, but it seems very unusual to us today.
We do not think about a new Christian becoming a preacher of the gospel immediately upon being saved, but why not? Once we know Jesus, we know enough to share Him with others. Once we know that Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed One, we can prove that to other people using God's word. There is nothing that says we have to go to school or take a long time to grow before we begin to share with others. Therefore, I believe we ought to begin immediately, so we can show our friends and family who Jesus is and they can be saved, too. That is God's plan for the spread of the gospel.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Acts 12-15
