God Satisfies and Fills
Most people do nor seem to be satisfied with their lives. They seem to be wanting more possessions or experiences to fill their lives. The problem is they are searching for satisfaction and filling in the wrong places. We all need to turn to the Lord for our satisfaction and filling. In fact, we should be very thankful for all of the goodness of God and His wonderful works for us. (Psalm 107:8,9) Let me explain.
We miss out on the satisfaction and filling of the Lord, because our hearts are not longing for Him, and we do not direct our hungry souls to Him. If we would acknowledge His goodness and give Him thanks for all we have, then He would see that we know where all we have comes from and that we are thankful for it. Then, when we have a longing soul that needs something, He will satisfy us. When He sees that we have a hungry soul, He will fill us. It all depends on the thankfulness for Him and the orientation of our hearts to Him, as the source of all we have and all we need.
