The Lord Goes Before You
God is good to His children. As we walk in His will, we will not go anywhere that He has not already been there to prepare our way. (Deuteronomy 31:8) This was true for Israel going into the Promised Land, and it is true for believers who follow the Lord today. We should take great comfort in knowing this.
Whatever the Lord calls us to do or wherever He calls us to go, He not only goes before us, but He is with us each step of the way. He will never leave us nor forsake us at any time. We can walk away from Him and from His will, but He will never walk away from us.
Therefore, as long as we stay in His will, we have no reason to fear or to be dismayed. We should always approach life with an attitude of confidence in the Lord, knowing His love and His power are there for us.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 32-34 and Joshua 1.
