God's Provision, Natural and Supernatural
God provides for His children in exactly the right way each time we have a need. Sometimes, He uses natural means to meet our needs, and at other times, He uses supernatural means to meet those needs. We do not get to pick which one He does, but we should graciously accept His provision. That is what the Israelites learned upon entering the land of Canaan. The manna ceased, and they began to eat the produce of the land. (Joshua 5:12) Both were used by God to bless His people.
I know people who have been miraculously healed from terrible diseases. It is wonderful to hear their stories. It causes us to marvel at the goodness and power of God. That is God's supernatural provision, like the manna for 2 million people in the wilderness for 40 years. However, I experienced God's provision to heal me from my prostate cancer through natural means. It was still God's provision, and it was a huge blessing bestowed on me. That is like the produce of the land of Canaan. Both ways the needs were met fully and by the grace of God. We should be just as thankful and full of praise every time we receive God's provision, whether it comes by supernatural or natural means.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 6-8.
