Do Not Let Your Heart Faint
God never intends for us to allow our enemies to stop us or overcome us, because we are faint hearted or afraid. He wants us to be emboldened because we know He is with us to fight for us and save us. (Deuteronomy 20:3,4) What God told Israel, He is saying to His people today.
How many times have we backed out of doing God's will because of opposition from others? How many times have we allowed fear to stop us, because we were trembling or terrified of what "might" happen? That shows a lack of faith, and it shows we do not know God very well. He will never leave us. When enemies come, He will fight for us. However, we must take the first step of faith to trust Him. Then, He takes over. If we let fear keep us from action, He will not force us to go forward. We will lose to our enemies, and we will miss out on the blessing of God to see Him work in a mighty way. I pray we will decide to trust God, instead, and see great victories in our lives.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 23-25.
