The Lord is My Strength and Song
The parting of the Red Sea and the destruction of Pharaoh with his army taught Israel a great lesson, which we all need to learn. The Lord is our strength and song. He has become our salvation, so we need to praise Him and exalt His name above all names. (Exodus 15:2)
God defeated the most powerful nation in the world to protect His people and to show He was Lord. There is no enemy we could ever have that He cannot defeat. We must trust Him so that He becomes our strength for living and for defeating enemies.
He is our song. We do not need music to sing. We have a song in our heart when the Lord is living in us. His song is not tied to circumstances, but it is based on His character and power. We should never lose our song when we have the Lord.
He is our God. We have a personal relationship with Him. What could be better than that? We owe Him all praise because of His grace toward us to deliver us from sin and to have a close relationship with us. He is always to be exalted for what He has done and is doing in our lives.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 17-19.
