The Harvest is Plentiful
Jesus told us that the harvest was not the problem. The problem is that there are too few laborers to bring in the harvest. (Matthew 9:37,38) That is why we do not see very many people coming to know the Lord and coming into the churches. We are the only ones who can solve this problem.
Of course, we need to get into the harvest fields around us, and we need to allow God to use us to harvest souls for His kingdom. However, we need to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send out more laborers, too. There are so many who need to know that it will take all of the workers doing all we can to make a dent in the harvest. On the south side of Atlanta alone there are over 420,000 people who need to know the Lord. In Georgia there are over 5 million who need to know Him. Please, pray and please work in the harvest, so we can see as many saved as possible before they slip into eternity to be forever separated from the Holy God by their sins.
Therefore, we must constantly ask ourselves when was the last time we shared the gospel with another person. We must set aside time to be intentional about building relationships with those who need the Lord. We must pray daily for God to send more laborers into His harvest. We must invite people to trust Jesus as Lord and be His disciples.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Matthew 10-12.
