God's Word Will Come To Pass
When we read God's Word or hear God's Word spoken, it is easy to think that it will not happen quickly or even in our lifetime. The children of Israel found out differently. (Ezekiel 12:25) They came to see that what God speaks He will perform, and He will not postpone it. We need to apply this truth to our lives.
It seems that all types of things that are opposite to God's Word have been happening in our country for the past 40 or 50 years. Because nothing terrible has happened yet, we could be lulled to sleep. We might think that God will postpone carrying out His judgment on those sins until after we are gone. I believe that is the totally wrong way to live. We need to live in anticipation of God carrying out His Word every day. That will cause us to be more involved in calling our family and friends to the Lord. It will lead us to be the salt and light that we should be as believers.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 13-15.
