God's Power, Wisdom, and Understanding
The universe around us and the earth upon which we live could not have come into existence without an incredibly powerful and wise Creator, who was filled with understanding of all things. (Jeremiah 51:15) I know there are many people who would disagree with that statement. They would point to scientific data that shows the earth and the universe to have been created by a random act and a process of evolution. I do not think we will ever get anywhere arguing facts, because people make up facts to support what they want. Let's simply use logic and experience to validate what Jeremiah told us.
When was the last time you bought a house that was built by an explosion? It had no architect, and there was no contractor, only an explosion of random pieces that came together to form your house. I do not believe that is possible, so how can a universe and an earth like ours be possible without a wise designer who had the power to build His design? This same logic can be applied to anything from very simple objects to the most complex. My experience has been that without intelligence nothing happens that creates something or fixes something. Therefore, I believe the same is true for our universe and our world. Yes, I believe the Bible, too, but even without the Bible I could not believe in the Big Bang and Evolution.
I believe the key to it all is that God created our world, and it was very good. However, when sin entered the world, all of the creation was effected by it. It is still amazing in how it all works together, but the flaws are from sin, not from God. He is waiting to fix His creation, after everyone has the opportunity to trust Christ as Lord and Savior. Jeaus' death and resurrection are God's solution for the sin problem. He can restore you to His design and one day He will make a new heaven and a new earth not infected with sin, so that all can be restored to His original creation.
