Sharing Equally in the Victories
We, as believers, are the army of God, the family of God, and we are the body of Christ. As such, we are all together in the work of the Lord. Each person contributes as he or she is gifted. We carry our our part of the battle of God, so that the victory can be won. Therefore, just like David told his men, we all should share alike in all of the victories with no one getting more credit or honor.(I Samuel 30:24) Let's consider this lesson.
Those who pray for souls to be saved are just as important as the one who shares the gospel with the one who trusts Christ. Those who pray for the pastor who preaches the Word of God are just as much a part of what is accomplished as the preacher. It takes all of us to do God's will, and when it is done, we all share alike in the joy of victory. We all share alike in bringing souls to Christ and building the kingdom.
Therefore, do not think that you are unimportant if you are not a preacher or a missionary in another country. We are all preachers and missionaries in our own way, as God has gifted us, so as we do our part, we see God win great victories. If we fail to do our parts, then we will not see God's work done well. We must be faithful, so we can all see the victories together.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Samuel 1-3.
