A Divine Turn of Events
God is so wise and powerful that He can take a desperate situation and turn it around completely in a very short time. That is what he did for Mordecai, and that is what He can and will do for any of us, if we are seeking His will in the right way.(Esther 8:12) Do you feel like you are stuck in a terrible situation in your life? Please, do not give up on the Lord. He can turn it around for your good and His glory.
Mordecai was a believer. He lived in a foreign country, but he sought to live a righteous life, even under difficult conditions. He saved the life of the Persian king by revealing a plot against him, because that was the right thing to do. He would not worship anyone but the Lord, so he did not bow down to the king or Haman. However, when Haman plotted to hang him for not bowing, God turned it around so that it was Haman who was hanged, while Mordecai received all of Haman's possessions. What a radical turn of events. That is how God works at times, when we are faithful and true to Him.
Maybe you do not see any way out of the situation you are in. Perhaps there are powerful people against you, too. Remember, if God is for you, who can be against you. Take time to fast and pray. Obey God, be a person of integrity, and see what God does to turn the events around. He is able, but we have to be faithful to do things His way.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Esther 9-10 and Job 1.
