No Excuses
I have heard many people claim that they do not know if there is a God or not. They say that they can't see Him in nature, and they can't make contact with Him in their minds and hearts. All of that is very hard for me to believe. From my experience and from what the Bible says I have found that God takes the initiative to make Himself known to everyone, so that there are no excuses for not knowing God is alive and well. The way God showed His presence to the Hebrews in the wilderness by the cloud and the fire being over the Tabernacle continually is a great example of this.(Exodus 40:38)
The Tabernacle was pitched in the center of the Israelite camp each time they stopped on their journey. When they were traveling, it was carried right in the middle of the people. The cloud of God's glory was always over it by day and the fire by night. There was no way that they could miss God. When they woke up and went outside their tent, there was the cloud. When they went to sleep, the last thing they saw before entering their tent was the fire. They could decide to rebel against Him and to disobey, but they could not deny His reality.
The same is true for everyone in the world. God reveals Himself so much through nature and through His actions toward us as He punishes us and blesses us that we are all aware of His reality. We all have the option to believe or not. However, when we stand before the Lord for the time judgment, no one will be able to argue that they did not know God was real.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Leviticus 3-5.
