Every Day, Morning and Evening
What do you do every day, morning and evening? You might answer something like brush your teeth or listen to the radio. God told Aaron and his sons to think of Him and to make a sacrifice to worship Him every day, morning and evening.(Leviticus 6:20) Since we are all priests today, once we come to know Christ, I believe this is a great admonition for all of us.
There is nothing like starting the day with the Lord. Even if it involves sacrificing some sleep or changing our schedule, when we meet with Him, putting Him first everything else goes better. I hope we will all make this a daily habit.
Ending the day with the Lord has similar benefits, because we can make sure our hearts are right with Him and others. We can get rid of any anger like His Word tells us to do. We can sleep with a clear mind and a clear conscience. If we have been worrying about something, we can confess the sin of worry and pray about it, so He can give us the peace that passes understanding.
Let's make it an every day thing to begin and end the day with the Lord and see what happens. I know it will be a great blessing.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Leviticus 9-12.
