God's Vision

Our vision needs to be God's vision for what He desires for us to do.(Acts 18:9,10) We don't get to think up what we would like to do. We must listen to God to reveal His will and His vision. Then, we simply obey Him as  we cast that vision to others.

Paul actually saw a vision to receive God's vision. It doesn't always happen that way, but it always happens, if we are listening. God is at work around us all of the time. He wants us to join Him in His work. We do not make up our work. We see the vision He gives us so that we fit into the overall plan for His kingdom.

God had many people in the city of Corinth which needed to be saved. He showed Paul that vision for those people, because he was the person for that job, and He told Him they could only be reached if Paul was not afraid and not silent. It would not be easy, but God would be with Him. The same is true for us when God calls us to a particular place. There are people for us to reach. We must be assured of His presence with us, and we must be bold to share the gospel, to that many can be saved.

Do you have a vision from God? If not, please ask Him to show you His vision. It will be a great motivation, and it will ensure that your labors are not in vain.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Acts 19-21.
